Mission Statement

It is the mission of Building Performance Contractors Association to promote the development of a long-term consumer-driven market for environmentally responsible residential and small commercial buildings. The organization will foster economic activity that is good for consumers, good for the planet, and profitable for contractors by educating consumers to invest in improving the performance of existing buildings and new construction and otherwise supporting the efforts of building performance contractors. The benefits promoted to consumers will include improvements in indoor air quality, health and safety, comfort, building durability, and energy efficiency, and reductions in waste.

The economic development, market transformation and consumer education activities associated with this effort are intended to be in the self interest of contractors, utilities, manufacturers, mortgage bankers, realtors and other participants in the building renovation and construction markets that can profit from improving the environment.
